Established in 1980, Fancy Fowl magazine offers something for everyone from the most novice to the most experienced poultry breeder:
We look at one particular breed in greater detail. Accompanied with beautiful photographs you can get to know the history, facts and the show standards required to get a prize winning bird.
Get to know some of the people who make a big contribution to the fancy: breeders, show winners and the occasional celebrity poultry keeper. Speaking to them we gain an insight into the secrets of their success.
Poultry shows take place all the time up and down the country, each month we have a round up of local and national show results, with reports and lots of photos.
Led by editor Jed Dwight, Fancy Fowl has a wide range of expert writers including Andy Cawthray, Grant Brereton, Ian Wileman, waterfowl experts Chris & Mike Aston, Clare Beebe and Richard Creighton.
Regular writers include legends Mike Hatcher and Colin Clark, Panel A Judge Richard A Rowly, poultry vet Victoria Roberts answers your questions, and Turkey Club UK secretary Janice Houghton-Wallace.
Photography is a big part of the magazine. Capturing the winning birds at their best is a real skill and we are lucky to have the brilliant Rupert Stephenson, and Tim Daniels from poultrykeeper.com at many of the shows for us.
